I´ll start an italian course in Sao Paulo Brazil in february but I´m sure that I will feel more comfortable now I came across with your lessons.

Hi.
I was very happy to have come across your videos on youtube. I’m American, but my heritage is 100% Italian: primarily Calabrese but my father’s side is from Sicily… I’ve always been saddened by the fact that the language was not passed down to my parents, and one of my goals is to learn Italian fluently (eventually). Although we still uphold many traditions, without the language I feel very ignorant to my culture.
I can speak an intermediate amount of German, from school, but I wonder how difficult it will be in making the transition from a Germanic-derived language to a Latin one.
